Private AI document review for restoration contractors

Updated 2026-10-04

The problem: Damage and scope reports are checked by hand, and they are checked before the technician leaves the site. Our starting assumption is that something is sometimes missing, and that someone then has to go back for it. We are not sure yet which problems come up most. We are asking restoration contractors to help us find out.

Why it has to stay private#

Reports like these usually carry customer names, addresses and claim details. That is the kind of document you should think hard about before pasting it into an online chatbot.

We are building a review tool that works differently. It is designed to run on your own computer only. The design rules are:

  • It listens on your own machine and does not accept connections from elsewhere.
  • It does not send usage data to us, and it makes no calls to cloud AI services.
  • It stores its data on your machine, with a button that wipes everything.

The tool is not ready yet. This page describes how we are building it.

What the tool checks#

Honestly: we do not know yet. We will not invent a list of problems for this page.

Here is how the checklist will be made. We read real reports, run them through a local AI model, and read every output ourselves. We write down each problem that keeps coming up. The problems that come up most become the checklist. The checklist is the product.

We will publish the checklist on this page after the by-hand reviews are done. For each report, the finished tool is meant to show a list of flags, with a quote from the document and a hint for fixing it. You can then copy the fixed text or export a report.

Book a review#

We are offering restoration contractors a by-hand review of a batch of your documents. It is free or low-cost. We confirm the terms with you before we start.

How it works:

  1. You get in touch. Tell us what kinds of reports you write and how many you could share.
  2. We agree terms in writing. Before any document moves, we send you a data-handling agreement. It sets out how we handle your files.
  3. Your documents stay on one machine. We keep them on our own local computer. We do not upload them to any cloud service.
  4. We review them. We run each document through a local AI model and read every result ourselves.
  5. You get a written summary. It tells you what we found.
  6. We delete your documents. They are deleted after the review.

What we ask in return: your help in shaping the checklist. We write down what we learn from the reviews, and we do not name your business unless you ask us to.

Book a review: go to our contact page and tell us you are a restoration contractor.
